👋 Who We Are

Hey everyone — I’m Ali Koklu.

I’ve been living in the United States since 2015, and in October 2023 I started traveling full-time across the U.S., first with my car and later with our RV. My journey began in Florida and has taken me across multiple states, with a strong focus on Washington and the Pacific Northwest.

I work remotely as a software engineer, which allows me to explore while staying connected. I travel with my girlfriend Madisen, who is from Washington, our dog Porter (6 years old as of 2026), and our daughter Palome, who was born in June 2025. She’s not even one year old yet — so yes, our adventures include diapers, dog walks, and mountain views.

This site is built from those real road trips — not from theory.

🔎 Why You Can Trust This Site

Every itinerary and guide here is based on places we have personally visited. I share what worked, what didn’t, what I would change, and what I wish I had known before going.

Sometimes I also include places I didn’t get to see — not because they’re trendy, but because they’re genuinely worth visiting if you have extra time. I make it clear which experiences are firsthand and which are added for planning completeness.

You won’t find “15 must-see spots in 1 day” here.

If I did two hikes and they were worth it, I’ll tell you those two. If something felt overrated, I’ll say that too.

🧭 What Makes These Guides Different

This isn’t a highlight-reel travel blog.
Each guide includes:
• What I actually did
• Where I stayed (especially RV-friendly options)
• What I would do differently next time
• Real driving times and logistics
• Seasonal realities (especially winter conditions)
• Small practical tips that make a big difference

I focus on helping you plan realistically — not just inspiring you with photos.
